Underpinning

If your home has cracking, movement or subsidence, most builders will either turn it away or quote a demolition. Apex is different, because our director is civil engineering qualified: the structural report is read properly, not guessed at and not worked around. We start with a site inspection, arrange a registered structural engineer to assess the movement and design the underpinning solution to suit your soil conditions, obtain independent certification, and then carry out the work exactly to that design with minimal disruption to occupants.

It depends on the project. A bathroom renovation can run 4 to 8 weeks. A structural job like underpinning depends on what the soil and the existing structure reveal once work starts, our flagship underpinning case study was planned at 14 weeks and actually took 17, once additional soil movement, a supplier delay and an extra council certification request were factored in. We build in realistic contingency, not wishful dates, and we will explain why on any project of yours.
